Build it Yourself Closets is proud to feature the John Louis Home brand of shelving solutions. All merchandise purchased from Build it Yourself Closets is shipped directly from the John Louis Home warehouse.
Customer Assistance
Your order is very important to us and we want to make sure each order is perfect. Our in-house Customer Assistance Department would enjoy speaking to you about any questions or other issues relating to your order. Please email us at info@BuildItYourselfClosets.com or call us toll-free at (800) 506-0106 and a representative will be in touch with you. Remember, all queries are answered in the order in which they are received, and as a result, delays occur from time to time. Requests made outside of standard weekday business hours will be answered as soon as possible.
Shipping Locations
We can not ship to PO or APO addresses. Exceptions can be arranged by contacting our Customer Assistance Department. Additional Charges apply for international shipping.
Returns
John Louis Home only accepts return merchandise in original unopened packaging. Accepted merchandise for return is:
- Non-consumer damaged product
- Product damaged during shipment
- Mismarked or misidentified merchandise
- Mispackaged merchandise
Consumer altered or modified products are not accepted. Return freight is negotiated. Be advised that the original packing slip is required for all refunds/reimbursements. Accepted returns will require a 25% re-stocking fee. Refunds/reimbursements are always made to the credit card used for the original purchase. Please allow 2 billing cycles for such credit to appear on your credit card statement.
Damages & Replacements
We make every effort to safely secure and ship your order, but understand that, on rare occasion, merchandise can be damaged in transit. If you feel that your order was damaged during delivery, report it immediately and a representative will contact you. All damages incurred from dropship delivery are at the responsibility of John Louis. Please call (800) 480-6985 or e-mail: johnlouis@sbcglobal.net if your product arrives damaged from delivery.
Back Orders
We maintain inventory on all of our products, although there is a rare chance that supply may not keep up with demand. In this event you will receive an estimated time of arrival and the choice of canceling, substituting, or reserving your order.
Delays
Orders are shipped within 72 hours on regular business days. Upon placement of your order you will receive a receipt by email. If an email receipt is not received, contact Customer Assistance at contact@buildityourselfclosets.com for verification.
Stain Finish Adjustments
Because our products are made of 100% solid wood, product finish variations are expected. Build it Yourself Closets will replace product where variations are dramatic. Please contact us at (800) 506-0106 or at contact@buildityourselfclosets.com. We will require photographs to verify the discrepancy, and replacement will be at the sole discretion of Build it Yourself Closets.
John Louis Home Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty
John Louis Inc. guarantees its products against defects in materials and workman-ship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. Any damage caused by external causes, including negligent installation, abuse, or general misuse of the product is not covered by the warranty. To request warranty service, you must call John Louis Inc. at (800) 480-6985 or e-mail: johnlouis@sbcglobal.net. If warranty service is required you must ship copy of receipt of purchase, enclose return address, and the defective product back to John Louis Inc. during the warranty period in its original or equivalent packaging, prepay shipping charges, and insure the shipment or accept the risk of loss or damage during shipment. John Louis Inc. will ship replacement products to you. John Louis Inc. reserves the right to modify its warranty at any time, in its sole discretion. Customer agrees that it will be bound by this agreement once the package is opened or its seal is broken. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. John Louis inc. Sole obligation (and customer’s sole remedy) with respect to the foregoing limited warranty shall be to, at its option, refund the purchase price or repair/replace any defective products, provided that John Louis Inc. receives written notice of such defects during the applicable warranty period. Customer may not bring an action to enforce its remedies under the foregoing limited warranty more than one (1) year after the accrual of such cause of action. All express and implied warranties for the products, including without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the warranty period set forth above and no warranties, whether express or implied, will apply after such period. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
